Vanitas are a symphonic progressive metal band from the UK. Described once as "Periphery meets Disney" Vanitas combine their love of progressive metal, djent and symphony inspired by composers such as Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy) and Motoi Sakuraba (Dark Souls) and artists such as Protest the Hero, Dream Theater and Devin Townsend to create their unique ‘cinematic djent' sound. Their music is characterized by soaring, emotionally charged choruses, cinematic soundscapes and immersive, maximalist production taking the listener on a journey from the serene straight through to the deepest abysses. Vanitas build an immersive fantasy-like world around their music, inspired by anime and gaming communities.

Formed in 2022, the UK five-piece have wasted no time establishing themselves in the progressive metal scene with dynamic live performances supporting acts in the past such as Monuments, Voyager, Galactic Empire & Destrage and appearances at festivals such as Burn it Down Festival.
